These terms apply to your use of this website and to evaluation services provided by Demi Fine Gold Buyers. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

1. Enquiries and appointment requests

Submitting a form on this website is a request only. An appointment, visit or postal evaluation is confirmed only when we confirm it with you directly. We may decline or reschedule a request.

2. On-site visits

On-site evaluations may be requested for approximately 50 grams or more of eligible jewellery. The 50g amount is our own service threshold. Visits depend on location, availability and a review of your request, and are at our discretion.

3. Postal evaluations

• Please do not send any items until you have received posting instructions from us. We are not responsible for items sent without instructions or to an incorrect address.
• You are responsible for packaging items securely and choosing a suitable tracked postal service. Items remain your responsibility until we confirm they have been received.
• We will notify you when your items arrive. If you decline an offer, your items will be returned in line with the return arrangements set out in your posting instructions.
• Remove photographs, keepsakes and non-jewellery items before posting.

4. Evaluations and offers

Evaluations are based on our assessment of each item’s construction, hallmark, weight, estimated recoverable precious metal content and market pricing at the time of assessment. Information on this website, including hallmark explanations and any price figures, is general guidance only and is not an offer.

An offer is made only after items have been assessed. You are free to accept or decline any offer. Offers are valid for the period stated when the offer is made.

5. Payment

Once you accept an offer, payment is usually made by bank transfer, or by another method agreed with you. Before we buy, we are required to sight photo identification showing your name and address, and to ask you to sign a statement confirming that you own the items.

As NSW second-hand dealer laws require, all items we purchase are recorded and held for 14 days before they are processed. Items cannot be returned or exchanged once a sale is complete.

6. Ownership

By offering items for sale you confirm that you are the owner of the items, or are authorised to sell them, and that they are not subject to any claim by another person.

7. Website use

You must not misuse this website, including by uploading files that are not photographs of your items, or content that is unlawful or harmful. We may remove content and refuse service where these terms are breached.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website. Our liability for items in our care is limited as required by law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies at the time you use our services.
