Our best rates
Large Collections & Estates
Kilograms of gold filled, a family estate, or years of dealer stock? Larger lots earn our best rates — and we can come to you.
Why size matters
The More You Have, the Better the Rate
Getting gold out of gold filled jewellery means sorting, melting, assaying and refining — and most of those costs are much the same whether the batch is a handful of chains or a crate of them. Spread across a large lot, those fixed costs shrink per gram, so more of the gold’s value can come back to you.
For very large lots — think kilograms of gold filled — offers can reach up to around half of the spot value of the gold content, depending on the items.
The more you have, the better the rate
- A few pieces Small lots carry the same refining costs as big ones
- 50g and over Better rates — and we may come to you
- Kilograms Up to around half of the gold’s spot value
No live gold price is shown on this site — spot price is for pure bullion, not demi-fine jewellery.

Questions
Selling a Large Lot
There’s no strict cut-off, but from around 50 grams you can request an on-site evaluation, and the rate generally improves as the quantity grows. Kilogram-scale lots of gold filled receive our best rates.
Along with photo ID, bring documents showing you’re authorised to sell on behalf of the estate — for example a grant of probate or letters of administration. If you’re unsure, call us before you come.
No. Leave pieces as they are — cleaning can wear away marks, and we separate stones, fittings and non-gold parts ourselves. If you’ve found anything you think may be collectable, set it aside and mention it.
Yes — larger lots can be evaluated on-site, subject to location and availability. Send a few photos and a rough weight first so we can plan the visit.
