Hallmarks

Hallmarks and markings vary between manufacturers, countries and eras, and may be worn, incomplete or inaccurate. Any explanation of what a mark means is a general guide. The actual construction and precious metal content of an item can only be confirmed by inspection.

Gold prices

Precious metal markets move throughout the day. Where price information appears on this website it is labelled as manually entered, delayed or indicative, with the time it was updated. It is the price of pure gold, not an offer price for any item, and we do not guarantee its accuracy or timeliness.

Evaluations and offers

Offers are made only after assessment and reflect each item’s construction, hallmark, weight, estimated recoverable precious metal content and relevant market pricing at that time. Two items of similar weight may receive very different offers.
